Joe Dunmore

Chief Executive Officer 

Senior Safeguarding Lead

Joe has been with the County FA since 2016 and became the CEO in 2023. His key responsibilities include leading the implementation of the FA Grassroots Football Strategy, the Association’s business strategy and spearheading the strategic direction and culture of the Association.

In addition, he oversees the Commercial, Services, and Development departments, ensuring the day-to-day operations of the Association run smoothly. Joe is also the Senior Safeguarding Lead and is accountable for ensuring that safeguarding is embedded throughout the County FA.

Shaun

Shaun Waite

Head of Football Development and Facilities

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer

Shaun has worked within the County FA since 2015 and currently oversees the strategic direction of the Football Development team. He is also responsible for leading the strategic investment into grassroots football, collaborating with partners at the Football Foundation. 

Shaun has coached in a grassroots environment for over 10 years and is currently the Accreditation Co-Ordinator at his local club.

Karl Percival

Karl Percival

Football Development Lead

Karl actively champions the advancement of disability football in Leicestershire & Rutland. Collaborating with partner organisations and grassroots clubs, he plays a pivotal role in establishing inclusive opportunities for all individuals to engage in football. Karl provides expert guidance and support for initiating and enhancing disability football programmes. 

Karl plays and coaches at his local club Attleborough Sports FC, where he is the clubs Development Officer, overseeing five disability teams.

Chris Hodson

Referee Development Lead

Chris s responsible for overseeing the recruitment, conversion, retention and promotion of all referees across Leicestershire & Rutland. Chris also supports the Referee Development Officer in their role.

Chris has been refereeing for four years and is currently an active Level 4 referee.

Andrew Turney

Football Development Officer (Male Pathway)

Andrew is responsible for developing the male pathway within league, club and recreational environments in Leicestershire and Rutland. Andrew facilitates coaching CPD workshops across the counties and is also available to support clubs' operational development ambitions.

Andrew has a strong passion for goalkeeper coaching within multiple formats of the game.

Megan Connolly

Football Development Officer (Female Pathway)

Megan leads the strategic development of women’s and girls' football in Leicestershire and Rutland. She is responsible for supporting and sustaining football provisions across Leicestershire and Rutland, including league support and overseeing all recreational/non-traditional formats of football including Just Play and Wildcats.

Megan has a degree in Sport Development and has 15 years of playing experience within Leicestershire. Away from work, she currently volunteers as a coach for Cosby United.

Zoe Boon

Volunteer Coordinator

Discrimination Investigation Support Coordinator

Zoe is part of an FA pilot project, tasked with supporting clubs with their recruitment and retention of volunteers with a focus on attracting more volunteers who are historically under-represented and increasing the satisfaction of existing volunteers. 

In her additional role as Discrimination Investigation Support Coordinator, Zoe assists victims of discrimination in accurately reporting incidents and provides further mediation or support as needed

Zoe has served as the club secretary for her local grassroots club for six years. She has also held a season ticket at Nottingham Forest for over 30 years.

Jamie

Jamie Clarke

Head of Football Services 

Deputy Senior Safeguarding Lead

Jamie has been with the Association since 2016. He is responsible for overseeing the governance of clubs and leagues, managing the FA disciplinary process, and ensuring safeguarding practices are implemented across the county. Additionally, Jamie takes charge of managing Equality, managing the County Cups, and providing support for the use of technology among staff and football volunteers.

Jamie is a UEFA B qualified Coach and has coached for over 25 years in Leicestershire.

Kai Wilson

Football Services Lead

Kai is responsible for managing the Football Services team, with additional responsibilities including the oversight of discipline, affiliation, player registration and sanctioning. Kai has been with the Association since 2021, previously serving as the Football Services Officer.

Emma Haywood

Emma Haywood 

Designated Safeguarding Officer

Emma joined the County FA in 2021 and acts as the main contact for all Youth League and Club Welfare Officers. Emma ensures that best practices, policies and safeguarding are embedded within the County grassroots football community.

Emma coaches an open age pan-disability football team and plays bass guitar.

Sam

Sam Deacon

Football Services Administrator

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer

Sam is responsible for providing support with all administrative aspects of running a club and league alongside the use of FA Technology and Systems. He is also responsible for affiliation and player registration within Leicestershire and Rutland.

Sam is also the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer within the County FA  and supports with monitoring safeguarding compliance throughout the organisation.

Megan Scott

Competitions Coordinator

Megan joined the County FA in 2024 after graduating from Birmingham City University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Coaching and Physical Education. She is responsible for overseeing the efficient management and administration of County Cup Competitions, including planning and delivering the finals.

Megan has been involved in grassroots football for the past 14 years, having started playing at the age of seven, with the County Cup games always being her favourite.

Josh Read

Josh Read

Football Services Coordinator

Josh has been with the County FA since 2019 and his main responsibilities include the management of disciplinary investigations. In addition to this, Josh oversees County Cup rule breaches and accreditation discipline. 

Josh has been involved in grassroots clubs for several years as both a player and a volunteer.

MARKETING AND COMMERCIAL

Matt Yeomans

Head of Commercial and Marketing

Matt’s main duties are to develop and implement our Commercial and Marcomms Strategy. Matt works tirelessly to identify new and maximise existing sponsorship and partnership opportunities to generate additional revenue for reinvestment back into grassroots football in Leicestershire and Rutland.

Matt joined the County FA after working over 15 years within the sports industry, working for organisations such Silverstone Circuits, Red Bull Racing and Leicester Tigers.

In his free time, he volunteers his time coaching with Dunton & Broughton United’s Under 6s.

Nathan Matthie

Marketing and Communications Officer

Nathan leads the development and implementation of the County FA Marketing and Communications plan. His main responsibilities are to enhance the image, profile and reputation of the County FA as well as communicating the FA’s messages and campaigns in Leicestershire and Rutland.

Nathan holds a Journalism degree from the University of Lincoln and has previously served as a Media Officer at Lincoln United.

Dawn Ashcroft

Dawn Ashcroft

Finance Officer

Dawn has been the finance officer at the LRCFA since 2018. She is a part qualified accountant who has worked in accounting for 30 years.

Dawn is responsible for all areas of the accounting controls at the County FA, from processing payments, receipts and payroll to producing the budgets and accounts.

Site Manager

Wayne has been a member of the County FA since 2014. He is responsible for managing the Holmes Park site as well as taking charge of building and exterior upkeep. His responsibilities also include assisting with the pitch, ensuring site safety, and keeping all Health & Safety, risk/COSHH assessments up to date.
