Working in partnership with the Football Foundation, Sport England, Local Authorities and partner organisations, we aim shine to a light on the funding opportunities and grants available to the football community in Leicestershire & Rutland.
So whether you are looking to start new teams, retain existing ones, develop coaches, purchase equipment, renovate facilities or develop new ones…We commit to supporting all funding applications from county clubs, leagues and facility providers with advice and guidance.

Eligible organisations will be able to access grants of up to £10,000 and/or smaller grants of up to £3,000 for community based projects and activities that improves the lives of vulnerable/disadvantaged people and communities.
The SHIRE Community Grant programme will enable voluntary and community sector organisations (including social enterprises and Town/Parish Councils) to deliver community-based projects, services and activities which directly benefit the most vulnerable people in Leicestershire.
We are particularly interested in funding new and innovative projects that will:
- improve the lives, health and wellbeing of vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and communities in Leicestershire
- provide early intervention and prevention based solutions which help to reduce demand on Council services
- complement existing services already being delivered
Organisations interested in applying for a grant will need to discuss their project proposal with the Grant Officers before completing an online application form.
Although applications can be submitted at any time, bi-monthly deadlines for applications have been scheduled for:
