Successful League Support Evening with The FA

The FA National League Development Manager, Andrew Hailwood, recently delivered a successful League Support Evening for leagues volunteers within…
The evening, which took place at Holmes Park on Tuesday 24 January, started with Andrew providing leagues with some essential guidance and support with regards to the implementation of the Standard Code of Rules (SCOR) and Standard Code of Rules Youth (SCORY), which feedback suggested was required by over 65% of league volunteers.

The second part of the evening provided leagues with some tips and guidance in long term league development planning, along with information on becoming a Charter Standard League and best practice from across the country.

Shaun Waite, Football Development Officer (Participation), said: “The evening was arranged as a result of feedback from leagues which suggested support was required in these subject areas. It was great to see so many leagues engage with the evening, and we thank Andrew for his support.

“From here, our ambition is to encourage leagues to produce long term development plans, which we would support with appropriate County FA, resource and funding”
