Donate Your Old Football Boots

Donate second-hand football boots to support homeless players in our Homeless Football League.

Leicestershire & Rutland County FA is calling on grassroots football clubs in Leicestershire and Rutland to support a vital initiative.

We initially launched the Homeless Open Opportunities Football League in partnership with Falcon Support Services and Turning Point. This league has united six support centres for monthly football tournaments, benefiting 43 players so far.

These football sessions serve as a powerful motivation for individuals experiencing homelessness, encouraging them to engage with support services. Participation in the league offers players access to crucial resources, including accommodation, employment opportunities, healthcare, rehabilitation, and more.

To further support the players and ensure a safe and inclusive environment, we are asking for donations of second-hand adult-sized men's football boots (moulded studs or astro trainers). These boots will be distributed to players on matchdays via the support centres.

If you would like to donate, please drop off your boots at one of our designated drop-off points by Monday, 7th January 2025:
