How can you host football for disabled players?

Ever wonderd wheter your club could host football for disabled players?

Perhaps you’ve seen that the disability football pathway has been added to England Accreditation and would like to provide football opportunities for everyone in your community.

If you wanted to find out more about how the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA can support your club in developing their first disability football team, then help is at hand. 

Leicestershire & Rutland County FA’s Football Development Lead, Karl Percival, leads on the development of disability football within the county and can answer any questions you might have about starting a disability football team at your club. To support the County FA we also have:

  • Disability Coach Mentors - Sam Turner & Harbir Eana



How Can I Find Out More? 

The County FA are hosting two online teams call to give clubs more information about the disability football pathway in Leicestershire. The calls are taking place on:

Tuesday 13th February 2024, 7-8PM
Wednesday 10th April 2024, 7-8PM.

Is there training available for our club?

The FA, in partnership with Activity Alliance, are delivering a Journey to Inclusion Workshop at Harborough Town FC on Monday 22nd April 2024, 6-9PM.

The workshop will give football clubs the tools they need to ensure that disabled people are supported and welcomed to their club.
