Changes To The Leicestershire And Rutland Board Of Directors

Erin Pruett has joined the Board. Additionally, John Harding is set to take on new responsibilities within the County FA.

The Leicestershire and Rutland County FA (LRCFA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Erin Pruett as Inclusion Director and Inclusion Advisory Group Chair.

Erin brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role, with a strong focus on promoting inclusivity within football across the region. In her current position at the National FA, Erin manages the coach developer and tutor workforce, providing her with invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities related to diversity in the sport.

Erin’s commitment to equality is further demonstrated by her ongoing PhD research, which focuses on increasing female representation in coach development. Additionally, her involvement with the CIMSPA Workforce Insight Group also gives her a broader perspective on the sport and physical activity sector.

A passionate footballer herself, Erin has played across the East Midlands for the past eight years and continues to be an active member of the Leicestershire Women & Girls League. Her personal journey as a footballer has shaped her understanding of the game and fuels her determination to make it accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

As the Inclusion Director, Erin will play a pivotal role in driving positive change within Leicestershire and Rutland football. Her expertise and unwavering dedication will undoubtedly contribute to creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

Erin Pruett expressed her enthusiasm for the role, she said: I’m honoured to join the Leicestershire and Rutland County FA as Inclusion Director and Chair of the Inclusion Advisory Group.

“Football has the power to bring people together, and I am committed to making it an inclusive space for everyone, regardless of their background. I look forward to working with the team to break down barriers and ensure that football is a sport for all."

In addition to Erin’s appointment, we are pleased to announce that John Harding, HR Director at the LRCFA has taken on an expanded remit to oversee Health and Safety. Following an internal recruitment process, John has also been confirmed as the Senior Independent Director (SID), succeeding Nicola Clemo, who left the Association earlier in the year. Nicola previously served as the Board Safeguarding Champion and SID, and we thank her for her dedicated service.

The County FA warmly welcomes Erin to the team and congratulates John on his new responsibilities. The Association eagerly anticipates the significant contributions both will bring to the community.
